The municipality is located in the center of the island of Gran Canaria, inside the Caldera (volcano crater) of Tejeda. 100% of the Tejeda area is included in the Canary Islands Network of Protected Natural Areas. We are included in the Roque Nublo rural park and the Inagua Natural Reserve. It is also part of the Gran Canaria Biosphere Reserve and the Cultural Landscape of the Risco Caído and the Sacred Mountains of Gran Canaria.

Our house has a southwest orientation, this protects it from the clouds that come from the north of the island. Thanks to this characteristic we enjoy clear skies during most of the year.
The average annual temperature is 19ºC and we have three very different climatic periods: warm and dry in the summer months, cool and humid from October to March and mild weather the rest of the time.
